The Moorings Village in Islamorada, Florida, is an exclusive, secluded resort in the Florida Keys. Set along the ocean, its sandy beach and turquoise water have served as the backdrop for several photo shoots, including one for Tommy Bahama, and for the Netflix series “Bloodline.” Photographer Peter Lik also worked here and, as viewers of his Weather Channel show may recall, often waited days for the ideal shot.
Unless you are a guest, access to this beautiful beach is nearly impossible because of “No Trespassing” signs, security guards, and management’s readiness to call the police. I managed to get in briefly and had to work quickly before a guard chased me away. Even so, I captured several satisfying images, including this photograph of the beach and boat seen in “Bloodline.”
