Box Mount
The box mount is an excellent option for prints smaller than 20" x 30". It made entirely of aluminum so it goes perfect with our aluminum prints. The box mount floats your prints 3/4" off the wall and requires only a single nail for hanging. The box mount is the easiest and most practical way to hang your metal prints.

Frame Mount

Frame Mount
Similar to the Frame Mount, the frame mount is a small upgrade from the frame mount and sits your print 3/4" off the wall. This option gives a slightly better appearance if the back of your print is important for displaying to potential customers. Frame mounts include all hanging hardware including cleat, screws and level to ensure proper hanging.

Tuxedo Mount

Tuxedo Mount
The Tuxedo Mount is for those who want to approve on the side appearance of their metal prints. The 1/4" thick black polystyrene backing gives an added weight to your print to give the impression of higher quality and offers a better feel when handling and displaying. This is a great option for display and show pieces that get transported frequently as it offers added protection for the edges. Comes standard with a black 3/4" thick frame for a truly clean black on black look and feel. This option looks great with our signature backstamp option.

Description: ChromaLuxe primarily uses aluminum sheets as the substrate for its panels. These aluminum panels are treated with a special coating to receive dye sublimation inks, which creates the high-definition, durable surface.
Print Process: Dye Sublimation - ChromaLuxe uses dye-sublimation printing technology. This involves transferring images into the coating of the panel using heat and pressure, ensuring that the image becomes part of the surface and is not just printed on top.

Metal Print Durability

Indoor Longevity: ChromaLuxe panels have been tested to last for 65+ years indoors without significant fading, assuming normal indoor lighting conditions and protection from direct sunlight.
Outdoor Longevity: For outdoor use, ChromaLuxe offers specific panels designed to withstand harsh environmental conditions. These outdoor panels can last for up to 5 years or more, depending on the level of direct exposure to sunlight and weather conditions. We are one of the only print labs utilizing a specially formulated ink that can extend the longevity of ChromaLuxe prints by up to 10 years.
Scratch-Resistant: The hard coating makes ChromaLuxe panels scratch-resistant, more durable than traditional photographic prints or other display mediums.
UV-Resistant: The coating provides resistance to UV rays, helping prevent fading over time, making them suitable for both indoor and outdoor use.
Moisture-Resistant: ChromaLuxe panels are moisture-resistant, which allows them to be used in more humid environments or places like kitchens and bathrooms.
Fire-Rated: Some panels are fire-rated, adhering to specific fire safety standards.
Temperature Range: Metal prints are highly resilient to both heat and cold, making them suitable for indoor and outdoor environments. While there is no specific upper or lower limit universally provided by manufacturers, here’s a general guideline for metal prints:
- High temperatures: Metal prints can handle temperatures up to 150°F to 200°F (65°C to 93°C) in everyday settings without warping or degrading.
- Low temperatures: Metal prints are resistant to cold conditions and can endure freezing temperatures down to -40°F (-40°C) without cracking or significant wear.

- For prints sized 18”x18” to 19”x29”, the mount size is 8.5”x16”.
- For prints sized 20”x30”, the mount size is 8.5”x24”.

What is Sintra Board?

Sintra Board is a lightweight yet rigid material made from PVC (Polyvinyl Chloride), known for its durability and smooth surface. It is resistant to moisture and chemicals, making it ideal for both indoor and outdoor applications. With its matte finish and ability to be easily cut, shaped, or printed on, Sintra Board is commonly used in signage, displays, and as backing material for high-quality prints.

Corner Options for Metal Prints

Rounded Corners: Metal prints with Frame Mount or Box Mount automatically come with 0.125” (1/8”) rounded corners. This feature prevents the sharp edges from cutting or scratching while giving the print a smoother appearance.

Square Corners: Metal prints with Edge Mounts, Tuxedo Mounts, and Floater Frames have square corners to match the corner shape of the mount. The precise alignment of the print and mount enhances the clean and sharp look of these mounting options.
